Book Review: Heaven and Hell
Since I have been so busy the last few days I wanted to post something small about what I decided to pick up at the good old library. Aldous Huxley was an interesting individual who had a considerable amount of experience with meditation as well as use of psychoactive drugs. In the perticular book "Heaven and Hell" (which is really a essay) Aldous Huxley writes about the relationship that religious practices share with the use of psychedelics with the use of extreme amounts of colored glass, shiny objects, and polished metals.
The book itself is a short read, only 50 pages, but the appendix is what is interesting as it completes the total of 91 pages in the book.
If you are interested in learning about some possible relationships in religious art in today's society or the human obsession with lights, Aldous Huxley's Heaven and Hell is a good read.
